HIGHWAY 1 CARMEL TO CAMBRIA ROADWAY UPDATE

HIGHWAY 1 RE-OPENS 25 MILES SOUTH OF BIG SUR WITH TRAFFIC SIGNAL

MONTEREY COUNTY:
As of 1:30 pm TODAY, January 31, Caltrans has re-opened Highway 1 (Post Mile 22) at the rock slide about 25 miles south of Big Sur.. Highway 1 will remain under one-way traffic signal controls as it was prior to the slide..

Caltrans wishes to thank all Big Sur residents and coastal businesses for their patience and cooperation during the necessary closure.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through Caltrans construction zones.
