Fort Hunter Liggett will close Nacimiento-Fergusson Road intermittently between Feb. 24 and March 6

Military exercises at Fort Hunter Liggett will close Nacimiento-Fergusson Road intermittently between Feb. 24 and March 6. Guards will stop traffic at the bridge which marks the installation’s western boundary with the Los Padres National Forest, and near the eastern end where the road turns off Mission Road. Anyone driving through should be prepared for delays of as long as an hour. The exact time of the closures and number of closures during this time is not known.

The eastern end of Nacimiento-Fergusson Road, the only paved road from the Big Sur coast to U.S. Highway 101, passes through Fort Hunter Liggett for about 8 miles. It is open to civilian through traffic as training permits, which is most of the year. Always check the Fort Hunter Liggett Facebook page atwww.facebook.com/FortHunterLiggett, where we post updates when they are available.

Thanks.
SUSAN.
