HIGHWAY 1 ONE-DAY GUARDRAIL REPAIR SOUTH OF MONTEREY

MONTEREY COUNTY – A one-day guardrail repair project on Hwy.1, six miles north of Rocky Creek and just south of Yankee Point Drive near Monterey will take place on Wednesday, August 28, Caltrans officials have announced.

Roadwork hours are from 9 am to 2 pm and will include one-way reversing traffic control with flagging. Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 15 minutes.

This roadwork is being performed by the Caltrans Monterey Maintenance Team as a safety precaution to provide motorists and cyclists a safer route to travel. This guardrail was recently damaged and needs repair.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
