From the Office of Emergency Services in Monterey

Conditions permitting, county damage assessment teams will go with fire officers into burned areas tomorrow, Wednesday, house-by-house to determine safety as well as inspect water and septic systems. These are staff from Environmental Health as well as Planning departments.

The county has pulled together an information page that includes USFS, CalFire, health and public safety notices and links to the key blogs sharing information about the fire. http://www.mtyhd.org/index.php/hd-news-and-events/item/looking-for-information-on-the-big-sur-fire . If there is additional information you think should be added, please let me know. We’ll keep it current until the fire is more under control.

From the SPCA of Monterey County – SPCA folks will be at the General Store starting at about noon Wednesday with dog and cat food for those who had to evacuate with their pets but without supplies.
