CALTRANS SUSPENDS ROADWORK ALONG HIGHWAY 1 BETWEEN RAGGED POINT AND CARMEL TO ASSIST WITH SOBERANES FIRE EFFORTS

MONTEREY COUNTY- Caltrans has ceased all scheduled roadwork Big Sur (Ragged Point to Carmel) along Highway 1 until the Soberanes fire is under control. Emergency roadwork to deal with the fire or fire-related activities will continue.

Businesses along the Coast highway remain open but travelers should use caution and expect delays.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through work zones.
