Highway 1 full closure at MM 57 – delay in opening the highway to town

Hello Big Sur!

Although Caltrans announced late last night Highway 1 would be open to town this morning there was a slide overnight at MM57 which is located between the Little Sur river bridge and Hurricane Point.

CHP info below. Keep your eyes on the CHP site and if I hear a lane has been cleared for passage I’ll put out another email.

For those inside the closure CPOA put out an email stating Loma Vista will be open today, Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
