From Carmel Chamber of Commerce

Good morning Big Sur Friends,

Our thoughts have been with your businesses and residents and I am reaching out to you today to ask — how are you doing??

We are coming up with resources to assist with your displaced workers and encouraging guests to come as far into Big Sur as they can to support your local economy.

Here is a segment from one of our communications we sent to our chamber members yesterday.

Let’s Help our Big Sur Neighbors!

Many of us have friends and colleagues that have been impacted by the devastation in Big Sur. The Carmel Chamber will be highlighting ways to help! Here are a few:

Job postings for displaced workers can be submitted on the chamber website by clicking in the upper right corner on Member Login. While job postings are generally an exclusive chamber member benefit, we have set up a general login so any business can post jobs on our website to help provide immediate support to those who need work! On the login page, enter jobsforbigsurcommunity as the username and the password hireme123. The Job Postings submission button is on the left. Job postings appear on our website upon approval and in our Weekly Update. Click here to view current job postings.

Donations to the Community Foundation for Monterey County can be received at:

Community resources are matched with those in need on a website managed by Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV). One of their most recent assistance items was the provision of chainsaws to residents.

Are there other ways we can help you more?
