Highway 1 Climbing Lane Project Update for Week of September 17th

There will be both day and nighttime work in the project area in hopes of effectively completing this project by the end of the week.

Project work hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daytime and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. nighttime.

Commuters can expect lane closures throughout the week. Here is what to expect for the week of September 17th:

• Sunday (9/16): nighttime paving of Carmel Valley Road between Highway 1 and Carmel Rancho Blvd.

• Monday through Wednesday: daytime work to raise underground utility manholes along Highway 1.

• Monday through Wednesday: nighttime traffic signal detection installation on Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road.

• Thursday through Friday: nighttime striping of the entire project.
